With our hive placement, it is a delicate balancing act between perfect placement for our bees so they are within easy reach of all their food and water needs, and also accessible and recognizable for our community to see the immediate impact and difference on the area.
This is where our story begins...
our first apiary based within the borders of Peters own home on the cliff tops of Gorleston Beach, this gave us both easy and constant access to the hives throughout the year and meant that our harvests could be done very easily within yards of the hives they came from. This is often referred too as an "In Apiary"
Over the course of 2023, Alex (nervously grinning above!) and the team at The Gorleston Pavilion Theatre have been instrumental in providing us our very first "Out Apiary" within a stones throw of our main site atop the cliffs upon the roof of the historic and iconic beachfront venue. Here you can purchase our honey and other products, catch some of the best shows in town and also take heritage tours with the added option of a visit to the hive!
We're always looking to add hives to our apiaries and are very happy to be contacted if you believe you have a perfect spot for a beehive to sit
